With chronic homelessness on the rise in the Denver area, safe spaces where the displaced can find food, shelter, and the support they need to turn their lives around is more important than ever. The Springs Rescue Mission does that, and so much more, something we here at Perkins Motors can really get behind.

Mission Statement

Springs Rescue Mission’s mission statement is simple: “To mobilize the community to provide relief, rehabilitation, and empowerment services.”

The Mission completes this task well, offering shelter to men, women, and families who find themselves with nowhere else to turn. It also provides spiritual support, food, family services, a resource center to connect neighbors with the services they need, addiction counseling, and so much more.

Homeless Shelter

The Mission provides a year-round, low-barrier homeless shelter with beds for up to 230 men and 70 women every night. In 2017 alone, the shelter housed more than 10,000 people from the local metro area including Castle Rock and Colorado Springs, providing a safe, warm place to sleep, and a hot, filling breakfast to neighbors who would have otherwise had nothing.

Because the Mission knows that many homeless citizens rely on pets for warmth, protection, and companionship, they also offer safe, clean kennel space, so animals don’t have to be left to fend for themselves on the cold streets overnight.

Catering

Springs Rescue Mission provides a unique way for donors to help fund the center and New Life Program while getting something in return.  The Mission’s award-winning culinary experts offer a complete culinary experience creating everything from pre-packed box lunches to full-service meals for your party or special event. Choose from items on their menu, or work with one of the chefs to create your own and add a special, personal touch to your next event.

Corporate Donors

All the Mission accomplishes would not be possible without the help of community and corporate donors, such as Perkins Motors CDJR in Colorado Springs, Snow Performance of Woodland Park, and many others from Canon Springs to Pueblo. The funding received from these organizations helps to provide food, vocational training, community outreach, and so much more.

How You Can Get Involved

If you would like to help us help the mission to fulfill their quest to provide for the indigent members of our community and assist them in lifting themselves out of poverty, it’s easy. Simply volunteer your time, donate food, or household goods, or give a tax-deductible financial contribution through the Enterprise Zone to help fund programs and provide a safe space for our community members who need a hand.
